The Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank is currently experiencing a real humanitarian tragedy amidst the ongoing events. As of now, there are over ten victims, hundreds of wounded, and thousands of people who were displaced forcefully from their homes. The extensive destruction of homes and infrastructure is a warning of a serious humanitarian catastrophe that requires immediate intervention to assist the affected and the victims in the camp.

The city of Jenin and its camp in the West Deffa in Palestine have faced the widest wave of attacks in nearly 20 years. These attacks have resulted in several casualties, injuries, orphaned children, widows, extensive damage to roads and buildings in the camp square, occupation of some houses, destruction of hospitals, as well as the prevention of access for medical teams and targeting of ambulances.

Driven by our duty and following the saying of the Prophet Muhammad: “A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim; he should neither wrong him nor abandon him.” Al-Noman Foundation continues to support our Palestinian brothers who have been targeted. We are doing our best to provide them with assistance, relief, and aid,  We also believe in the saying: “The believer to the believer is like a solid structure, one part supporting the other,” as we interlace our fingers.

Dr. Wisam Bakr, Director of Jenin Hospital, said, “The invasion of the camp is a big challenge to our capabilities and how we deal with the 66 injuries, with several critical cases.”

Dr. Wisam Bakr, Director of Jenin Hospital, mentioned, “More than 35 injuries have arrived at the hospital, with 7 martyrs. Most of the injuries are due to rocket attacks, spread across different parts of the body, and we have not seen such injuries since 2002. There are critical cases in the intensive care units.”

Kamal Abu Al-Rub, Deputy Governor of Jenin, told the French Press Agency that “around 3,000 people have left the camp so far,” adding that arrangements are being made to accommodate them in schools and other shelters in the city of Jenin.

Hundreds of wounded individuals urgently need medical treatment and medication. Dozens of families are left without shelter, food, or medical care as their homes have been destroyed.
Jenin is suffering from an unprecedented shortage of medical consumables, laboratory tests, and fuel supplies, which may eventually lead to the closure of hospitals.
The Ministry of Health and the Red Crescent in Jenin have warned of “a serious health and humanitarian disaster” due to the power outage. This will lead to the suspension of desalination plants, sewage pumps, and water supply to homes.

Al-Noman Foundation , in cooperation with its partners and through its field teams, is working to provide urgent humanitarian assistance. Through this urgent appeal, we will focus on providing:
1. Medical supplies for hospitals.
2. Food baskets for displaced and affected families.
3. Shelter for the displaced.

Therefore, we ask for your support in this important cause. Please donate what you can, share this campaign with your friends and family, and help us spread the word about the urgent need for support.

Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for your generosity and compassion
