As many of you have seen the tragic news of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake which has struck central Morocco, with 2000+ innocent deceased and the number growing by the minute. Al-Noman Foundation has been quick to act and we have teams actively on the grounds attending and providing support to the affected. In these times of tragedy we urge you all to donate whatever means you have, we will be working hard to ensure that Medical Aid and Food packs are distributed to those affected areas with haste.

1. More than 2000 people have died after a powerful earthquake struck central Morocco, according to the country’s interior ministry

2. The quake – measuring magnitude 7.2 – sent people rushing into the streets in Marrakesh and other cities

3. Many of the deaths were said to be in hard-to-reach mountain areas –

4. It struck just after 23:00 local time, at a relatively shallow depth 71km (44 miles) south-west of Marrakesh.
