My name is Doaa Eqdaih from Palestine, Gaza.
I am an English teacher and a master’s student of translation before the war.
Due to the war in Gaza, I had an idea which was teaching children in the camp, it took me a week to prepare.
I faced a lot of difficulties while I was establishing that; one of these was finding a suitable place to teach the kids so I decided to make a small tent as a class. I bought a board, notebook, pencils and some tools to encourage and inspire kids to keep learning.
I am so proud of the results in the first week, I was not expecting the results of that. Most of the children and their families encouraged me to keep working on my inspiration class.
I am so glad to see their smiles again and how excited they are to learn.
In addition, I found the number of students increased every single day.
I decided to tell more about my class( Peace & Freedom Class ).
One of children’s rights that can not taken away is their right to learn like their right to live in Peace and Freedom. Unfortunately, these two rights are taken from them during the war, so I am here to keep learning rights alive.
Children in the Camp need you, your support, want to learn and stay in good mental health.
